• New Dialect is a contemporary dance practice based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Banning Bouldin founded New Dialect out of a desire to help foster a creative ecosystem for contemporary dance in her hometown.

    That work continues…

We now offer workshops and residencies to professional and pre-professional dance artists and produce performances for the stage, the screen, and site-specific installations.

  • The work of New Dialect is carried on by independent artists from all over.

Our rotating ensemble includes choreographers, dancers, composers, musicians, designers, photographers, and filmmakers.
